What happens during a PRP session?
The doctor draws an appropriate amount of blood from the arm and spins it in a specialised centrifuge to obtain concentrated plasma, which is then injected back into the areas of the scalp affected by hair loss. The whole process takes about 45-60 minutes. You may feel slight tightness or discomfort during injection, and the scalp may be mildly swollen or red, which resolves within 1-2 days.
How many sessions to see results?
We recommend 3-4 consecutive sessions, 2 weeks apart, to stimulate the hair cycle into the growth phase on an ongoing basis. After that, the treatment can be repeated every 6-12 months to maintain long-term results.
At Calm Clinic, PRP is performed by experienced doctors using standard-grade equipment and blood-processing kits, ensuring both cleanliness and safety.
